On the road of life, there is a lot to get discouraged about, especially because we may be in the last days. Things like gas prices going up, a threat of a depression, and politicians that play politics and don't want to listen to their constituents can make a person depressed.
I've been studying a book called Heaven, by Randy Alcorn, and the outlook for life in the future is encouraging. Just think no sin or car troubles. I will not have to worry about being fired, evicted and/or foreclosed upon.
In heaven, there will be streets of gold. Revelation 21:1 says "Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth. The first heaven and the first earth had disappeared, and there was no sea anymore." It may be like it was when on the earth before sin.
It's quite possible the United States could still exist on the new earth. I wonder what it will look like.
One of the things I used to love to do in Minneapolis is walk around Lake Harriet. If there is a lake I wonder what the new and improved Lake Harriet will be like?
I wonder what Florida will be like; will it still be by the ocean? Will the Rocky Mountains still exist?
When you drive down the road of life, take courage and don’t get discouraged, but anticipate what it will be like when we arrive at our final destination, Heaven.

I will have to do some studying, but I think the Bible mentions there will be no lakes in Heaven. Whatever is up there will be truly splendid!
