Where folks always wanted to readi ya
Then one day the key lit up a big tree
And the news then arrived with great speedia.
Soon after, this world of The Media
Would be brought to the screen with great tedia
And faces galore would talk more and more
With commercials that caused global greedia
Then the satellite beamed down with The Media
And the voices continue to pleadi ya
To change what you think, with a smile and a wink
Saying “Follow Me, I’m the one who can leadi ya.”
One day this same, you know, The Media
Was captured by a fresh and new breedia
The bobbleheads frowned when they lost their crown
To a group serving tea with their creedia.
And now the great power, The Media
Shares news of the ones who have freedi ya
From leaders who forgot that our nation was bought
With the lives of brave ones and their deedia.

There were a few parts that left me wondering just what you were talking about, where you perhaps forced a rhyme and sacrificed the storyline.
Overall, very clever.
