Face to face I want to ask Him,
Why He has allowed such pain,
Why the children have to suffer,
Hoping one day He'll explain.
Face to face I'll ask my questions,
Face to face all hurts He'll heal,
All confusion and frustration,
When before His feet I kneel.
Why allow disease and evil,
Why disasters rock the world,
Why allow such devastation,
Why must Satan's darts be hurled?
One day we will ask the questions,
Why the young so soon must die,
Why the fam'ly knows such heartache
And alone our tears we cry?
Why must children be rejected,
Left alone in their despair,
Fragile hearts in need of loving,
Yet there's no one near to care?
Face to face it then won't matter,
All His love at last we'll feel,
What's obscure and now we question
In His wisdom He'll reveal.
Steadfast patience and endurance
Will one day have its reward,
Faith revealing divine actions
From the Savior we've adored.
Face to face the love we've longed for
We shall see upon His face,
And the moans, complaints, and questions
All erased by His embrace.
With disease and devastation
My soul yearning for its home,
Then we'll have this conversation
And my thoughts no longer roam.
Face to face will come the knowing,
Face to face He'll speak my name,
In His arms all fear behind me
And I'll never be the same.
“For you have need of steadfast patience and endurance, so that you may perform and fully accomplish the will of God, and thus receive and carry away (and enjoy to the full) what is promised.” Hebrews 10:36 (Amplified Bible)
“Now faith is the assurance (the confirmation, the title-deed) of the things (we) hope for, being the proof of things (we) do not see and the conviction of their reality—faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses.” Hebrews 11:1 (Amplified Bible)

My favorite line: "Face to face, it then won't matter." Hallelujah!
Face to face He'll speak my name,
In His arms all fear behind me
And I'll never be the same." Obviously written from a heart that knows that is true. Well done!
