But sweet for a short time.
Bitter things can cost a fortune,
Some sweet things just a dime.
When a person sinks in sin,
The grass might look quite green.
The end result will end up dark,
And victory will be lean.
When people go against Gods will,
At first it might look sweet.
But in due time the harvest comes,
Reality is defeat.
It works this way with eating food,
A thing we all must do.
It tastes so good while going down,
But too much is taboo.
And what about sins of the flesh,
Girl with girl and man with man.
They might have pleasure for a while,
That pours away like grains of sand.
It seems that people want their way,
Their own god they would be.
No Truth of Scripture tucked away,
Thus no way to be free.
For all we do and all we say,
Will have a certain taste.
It’s whether Christ's involved or not,
Of will we see His face.
Where do you stand when tasting life?
With God or all alone?
Do you follow God’s great plan?
For your sin He’ll atone.

I love the message, but have trouble with this passage. Should it read Or will we see His face. Or something else entirely, or am I just dense and not getting the meaning. Keep writing.
