To switch off the dark and turn on the light
So when you are sad, and down all the while
A little nonsense may help you to smile.
So have you heard, of the quite absurd
Eeking, shrieking, mooing bird?
He’d shriek and shriek, with sometimes a moo
But no one had heard him an eeky call do.
His eeky call comes,deep in the night
He’ll shriek and moo at the first sign of light.
A cow one day, an eeky did do
So the absurd bird, might an eeky do too
But even this bird knew a cow should moo
So to shriek and moo he continued to do.
People gathered to join in the dark and the fun
The time the moon passed in front of the sun
An eclipse, ‘HOORAY’ they all did say
When night took the place of what should be day.
But the eeking, shrieking, mooing bird
Was busily shrieking and hadn’t heard
So everyone laughed, when out the bird flew
And to their surprise, hear an ‘eek eek’ him do.
