Above where the birds are.
To sit on the lap of the Most High;
For I heard of the one who created the stars in the night sky.
I thought I was too young to die,
So everyday I pray to fly.
That I may find the eternal life.
The one whose name is Jesus Christ.
But I begin to realize,
As I look into the sky that was way high,
That I needed to grow up;
So that I might reach the highest heaven to where the Lord resides.
For if I could reach the sky,
I will no longer cry.
Cry at the pain and the hurt of life;
Cry at the fact that I will someday die;
Most painfully, that I will have to grow up.
But if I can see the Most High,
He will wipe the tears from my eyes.
He will bring light to my life.
He will always be by my side, and I will no longer cry.
How will I fly?
Everyday in my heart I ponder to myself.
How will I get to the Most High?
The one that created the stars in the night.
The stars that lit brightly in the sky;
That brings glimmer and light;
That shines like a superstar;
That adorns the dark sky at night.
If he can make the stars shine all night,
Then he can make me shine like the stars.
Like the stars in the dark night,
Who has been given the power to shine bright.
Light to bring hope to the lost;
Light to bring love to the hurt;
Light to bring faith to the world;
Only a child of the Christ can be that star.
Since I was scared of darkness,
As a child I slept with the light.
I knew that nothing good can come out of the dark;
For there was monsters in the night.
Monsters that brought hate and destruction;
Monsters that had no heart;
Monsters that were ugly and sad;
Monsters from the days of Noah.
They caused man to fall and die.
They took eternal life from our sight;
Until Christ came to save the day,
And slay the monsters that were from the darkest place.
Let me fly that I may find,
The one that is enthrone with light;
The one who has the power to give life;
The one that the grown ups speaks about.
The one from the days of old,
The Ancient One that is high above us all.
The one that I knew was not Santa Clause;
For he goes way beyond those fairy lies.
I close my eyes and count to five.
I believe I can fly;
I believe I wont die;
I believe I will see the Christ.
When I opened my eyes,
I looked at myself.
I was once a child,
But now, I am all grown up.
A person with wisdom to fly.
To fly up in the sky,
Where the Lord resides;
Because Jesus Christ came into my life.
God spoke to my heart,
My child, do not forget when you were five.
You plotted how to fly up to the sky.
How to reach the Most High.
How to shine like the stars,
And live forever with eternal life.
So that you may never die,
Like the wind that crosses the sky.
If you will give me your heart,
You will be my superstar.
That will always give light in the night.
My child who is forever young in my heart.
He smile and brought joy to my heart,
Knowing that I will never die.
As long as Christ is in my heart,
I will have eternal life.
I only need to call on him,
To fly towards the heavens;
Unto the arms of the Most High.
The one that I saw hidden behind the clouds at the tender age of five.
