The leaves all around are changing colors. They are
changed from their bright orange to a dingy brown. It means that winter has settled in around us. Fall is no longer here with us. The pumpkins are now gone.

Time to get out the old lovely quilt that someone took the time to make for you. Time to snuggle up in this old quilt. Time to keep those memories alive in you. Time to get by the fireplace with the roaring fire. To bring you warmth as you sit and snuggle in your homemade quilt.

Get a glass of hot chocolate or the coffee in hand. Settle down on the couch or in your favorite recliner. Open up the word of God and let His words sink down in your soul.

Fill your hearts and your mind with the word of God to ignite your heart with the challenges from which He gives us. While feeling safe and cozy in your homemade quilt.

Begin to read verse by verse and letting the words of God sink deep in your soul. Letting those words challenge her heart. Challenge you change from the way you were to the way God wants for you to go. While reading the word, take time to memorize those words to keep them close and help them to keep you safe. Keep you safe like being in your homemade quilt.

Let Godís word challenge you to walk close to Him. To draw neigh unto God. Never leaving Him by your side. Allowing Him time to speak to you everyday. Keeping Him always in your mind and on your heart. Be challenged while reading the word of God in your homemade quilt!

While sitting there, in that quite still moments with a single tear dripped across your face knowing how much He has touched your heart. Holding your Bible close to your heart and wrapped in your homemade quilt, your heart was once again touched by reading the word of God while snuggled in your homemade quilt.

You must be a quilter! You begin the article with "fall colors turning brown" and in increments fully illustrated, you end with "Holding your Bible close to your heart and wrapped in your homemade quilt, your heart was once again touched by reading the word of God while snuggled in your homemade quilt."

It's a bit redundant but that's ok. One step at a time, just like making a quilt, right?! A nice read. Note needed editing on sentence structure. Good on details too.

I did not write this time...because I (hate) winter, but you have reminded me that winter is indeed a perfect time to grab a homemade quilt (or comforter) and get snuggly with the Word of God. Thank you for the devotional quality of your entry.
