We praise you, Lord, for the springtime,
When snowfall turns to rain,
When flowers break the cold earth’s crust
And we are all to gain.
We praise you, Lord, for the sunshine,
That begs the daffodils grow,
And the crocus and the lily
and the trees all in a row.
Oh, see the flowers dance now
And hear the robins sing,
You did a wonderful work, Lord,
When Jesus you did bring-
Like springtime in the mountains,
Or in the valley low,
He came to bring new life to us,
and His love for us to know.
We praise you, Lord, for Jesus
Who came to set us free,
Who taught us all about your grace
and died on Calvary’s tree.
We praise you for the lifting up
Of Jesus from the grave,
Who showed his scars to prove to us
His will, for us to save.
You sent your Holy Spirit, Lord,
To comfort us and stay-
With us till our time is up
And down our heads we lay.
So let the spring rains fall, Lord,
On our blessed souls today,
We thank you for the comfort
That winter’s gone, to stay.
