Not of royal family
Really just a child
Betrothed to an older man
Upright and righteous
A small village carpenter
No palace for home
Both waiting for intimacy
Anticipating a normal life
A life’s interruption
Chosen of God
She did not run
She did not hide
She could’ve said “No”
But she obeyed
Wisdom or fear?
A heart well trained
Obeying could mean death
Stoning for an unfaithful bride
Inform him or not
There’s no other choice
Love betrayed
Rejected
Upright and righteous
“Put her away privately”
“This is of God”
Angelic dream
He could’ve said “No”
But he obeyed
Lives restored, almost
What will everyone say?
Labels, words, denunciations
Looks, whisperings
Their love for each other
Their love for God
Would it last a lifetime?
Would it last today?
Chosen before creation
The vessel and the Potter
She could’ve said “no”
But she obeyed
Predestined
Freewill
Young lady, accepting
She carried the Gospel
Her decision changed the world
A decision that changed me
