My senses, make sense of summer . . .
Skin enjoying, sighs of relief, on a sun-soaked deck chair, or a thrill, in the shock, of an ocean wave chill, or a smile, wearing the year’s lightest attire.
Taste buds getting, an extreme workout, with ice cream’s copious categories, or backyard barbecue’s best, or stopping by a chip wagon, to try the daily fry.
Nose lingering, in obedience to flowers lining this side and that side, or the clean sweet scent, of freshly cut grass, or the not to miss wholesomeness, of open air sea mist.
Eyes delighting, in the iridescence of a newt, sauntering along a tributary sidebar, or in a rainbow halo, signaling the end, of a refreshing downpour, or the varied verdant shades, to see, of a plant, bush, or tree.
Ears welcoming, early morning melodies, of nature’s harmonies, or a late night treat, of retiring tranquility, after a full day’s din, of outdoor humanity.
. . . the sense of summer, makes my senses.
END.
