Psalm 139:14 (NIV)
Feeling a bit humdrum? Out of sorts, out of shape, out of sinc? Take a few minutes and read all of Psalm 139. You are anything but ordinary in the eyes of your Creator. To Him, it is as if you are His one and only.
Just imagine. He counts the number of hairs on your head. He knows you inside and out, hears the words before you speak them and He loves you anyway! You are the first and the last of your kind. You are an original, one-of-a-kind. Yes, you are God's workmanship.
The uniqueness of you is represented by your personality. Do you gain energy behind closed doors, reading, writing or dreaming? Are you contemplative; exploring the deep thoughts of life? Maybe you need to be around people and places, an extrovert by nature. Your energy explodes as you bounce ideas and thoughts off of others. Do you go with the flow or do you have a detailed flow chart to follow?
He has made you to serve Him with gifts of the Spirit. Do you have a passion to teach children or adults? Do others look to you for administration or hospitality? Maybe you have gifts in discernment or in wisdom to interpret God's Word. Do you have the gift of mercy as you listen to those in need?
See yourself through His eyes. Step out and bask in His light. He looks at you and sees all that you can be. Let Him help you find your purpose. There is only one you. Accept His gifts of forgiveness and redemption and use the gifts of your personality and spirit. Be forever His. "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." (Jeremiah 29:15 NIV)
You are His beloved, His original masterpiece. Become His disciple.
Now, go!
