Stand for a moment with me and catch your breath before you look down.
The balcony is hewn from stone. Grudgingly, the rocks have irregularly splayed themselves across its stubbly platform.
And then:
Imagination
plummets,
full speed,
down a leafslope
of tufted greenery;
An undulant valley
of endless treetops makes an unlikely carpet for a patchwork of birds.
Banners of bushes; pennants of plants; lanyards of leisurely leaves; filigreed flowers.
A waterfall
skips
down
another
rockface;
glistening
with sheer
lacy water;
It sends a
sparkling
rush of life
to the parched,
sprawling forest
Look again:
Clear sapphire skies seem close enough to touch; sultry breezes lift fresh fragrances of the morning’s breath. Starchy clouds whisper their presence to the afternoon winds
In the distance, a smoky pearl haze hints at the horizon of Mozambique.
Moments without strife as we gaze, hypnotized, by its beauty.
Listening for the rhythmic pulse of its elusive serenity.
A prevalent peace saturates each stolen moment.
They call it God’s window

And I've been there too!
Every single word is a picture. Just beautiful. After reading so many articles of the brutal Africa, this shows me how God fashioned her.
WOW!
