Fell out of a tree on his head.
He said to his mom,
Who could always stay calm,
“It’s amazing that I am not dead.
“Since I was a very young toad,
I’ve hated my legs being bowed,
To you I’m divulging
That eyes which are bulging,
I wish were not on me bestowed.
“I am proud I can jump very high
Much better than children who try.
They call this their game;
Leapfrog is its name.
They’re none of them as spry as I.

Has plenty of good hiding space
From people who’d try
To steal legs to fry,
A custom I find a disgrace.
“I’m bothered sometimes by a miss,
Who hopes when she gives me a kiss,
A prince there she’ll see,
Not ugly like me.
Now what kind of practice is this?
“It’s a very strange diet I’ve got;
Of insects I eat quite a lot.
With spiders slick
And earthworms thick,
None tasting like rich chocolate.”
His mama said, “Freddy, my son,
The game of your life should be run
By making a choice
To raising your voice
In praise to the Almighty One.”
