The color of my eyes?
Who has the same held memory
Of years that used to be?
Who recollects with me the ways
We spent our holidays?
Who knows the dumb things that I did
When I was just a kid?
Whom did I fuss with and call names
When we played childhood games?
Who knows the love our parents had
When we were good or bad?
Who still remembers how Mom cooked
And how her kitchen looked?
Who sat with me when Daddy died
And held my hand and cried?
Who joins with me to celebrate
For each important date?
Who sends a loving birthday rhyme
On that day every time?
Who calls me on the phone to chat
With news of this and that?
Who shares a laugh for bygone years,
All mingled with our tears?
Who feels the thread that binds my heart
When we are far apart?
You guessed, I’m sure, who it could be—
My siblings, dear to me.
