You don’t belong on the enemy’s side –
Won’t you step over on the side of Christ?
You don’t need to live in the night,
Won’t you step into the light?

Wonder why you can’t survive?
God’s not in control of your life.
It was for your sins Christ died,
Won’t you step over into the light?

In each of us, a gift He placed:
Some use it for the enemy – self-praise;
Few use it to glory His name – what a shame!
Step into the light and lift up His name.

Won’t you use your gift for Christ?
He paid the price – He owns your life,
Yes, every inch of you belong to Christ.
Won’t you step into the light?

It wasn’t satan who died to give you life:
On the cross it was Jesus who bled and died.
Salvation comes through Jesus Christ,
Won’t you step over into the light?

Don’t live, failing to look to Christ:
Make Him number one in your life,
Stop believing the enemy’s lies…
Won’t you step over into the light?

Don’t waste time on the enemy’s side,
Jesus is the ‘bread of life’— in Him abide,
Feast of Him and you’ll be satisfied.
Won’t you step over into the light?

Drink of the ‘Living Well’ – you’ll never thirst again;
Run to the High Priest – He’ll remove sin’s stain;
All your needs will be supplied if you live for Christ.
So start shining for Christ – just step into the light.

The truth is revealed in John Three verse sixteen:
He came to save – so let His blood wash you clean,
Be released from the hold of satan and his fleet;
Won’t you step in the light and claim your victory?

You have an evangelistic message of concern in your poem. I like your use of the different names of Jesus like "living well", "High Priest", "Christ", then your reference to John 3:16. Keep writing!

I like this verse:

So true. Inspirational reminder of why we need to step and stay in the light.
