Topic: Calm (emotionally) (09/13/07)
In the midst of a heavy storm of pain and difficulties it truly takes great courage to maintain our calm. They who have seen beyond the storm through the eyes of faith will be still and see the salvation of the Lord. To be calm and hold our peace does not mean to accept defeat, rather they who know that victory belongs to them and God goes before them to level all the mountains and straighten all the crooked paths, wait patiently to see the glory of God.
The above is a situation when a problem is heading towards us and we maintain our peace by faith in the Lord, how about the problems that have struck us, left us wounded and in pain?
First, we have to believe that nothing happens in our life without the knowledge of Him who loves us the best, our blessed Lord God.
Secondly we have to know and believe that God is in control of everything and He can make a way where there seems to be no way. As in the example of Job in the Bible, he lost everything, yet he gave glory to God, trusted in God, for he knew that God can never be wrong and goodness shall never cease from God at anytime and Job’s latter days were far better than his former.
We need to thank God for yesterday, trust in him for today and leave the days to come in His perfect hands, we need to hold our calm, for we know our Father lives and He is in perfect control.
Satan brings all the troubles in our lives to disturb our devotion to God, to create doubts in our hearts and if we react with our strength we may end up worse, let’s be calm and see the Lord still the storms of our life, for sure we will never drown with Jesus in our boat and goodness and mercy shall always follow us till we follow our Shepherd. So let’s hold our peace, for we are more than conquerors in Jesus Christ and all victory belongs to us through Jesus Christ.

You make some excellent points here - ones I definitely needed to hear. I would have loved to see this expanded a bit, perhaps with some real-life examples to grab the reader's attention and empathy. Very nice writing!

Thanks for sharing this piece. I am in the middle of a HURRICANE. It amazes me that this last weeks topic is EXACTLY what I have needed to remain focused on and reading all the different articles from all the different authors has been such a blessing to me. Your piece really helped me today. I like you writing style. It is easy to read and kept me interested. Good Job!
