Cast by earthly fears
Knits with darker
Gloom a final
Shroud to wear.
No mortal hand
Dare stop the Knitter’s weave.
Born to die
A black abyss to embrace
As this mortal shell we leave.
Oh soulless man
How soundless our plea.
Echoing through
Endless halls
Of death’s cold eternity.
Out darkness!
Why the light doth fade?
Can our hurried steps
Keep us in the light,
Distant from the grave?
Is our voice
Enough for God to hear
He the Light
The warmth of Hope
Our Invincible foe of fear.
His Heart
Knowing no horizon
Offered His Son
A faultless Redeemer
So by Grace we be forgiven
He rent the
Knitter’s dark garments
Baring the soul
To fly unfettered
From death’s torment.
How glad we raise
Our joyful hearts.
And turn our faces
To the light
Offering praise our only part.
This God of Love
Pulls us close
Unspeakable joy
Fills our hearts
We feel his breath in our souls,
Knitter’s black clothe
At last put away
Evening shadows
Fall prey to Light
And God’s eternal days

personification of the "knitter" weaving dark clothes. Also, "praise, our only part" ... just beautiful. You do excell at all genres, my friend!
I need to read it again!
