I do so believe in God watching over His own in the form of heavenly angels - your testimony witnesses to this and encourages my belief - thank-you for sharing this wonderful story and fleshing out one of the truths found in the book of Hebrews.

How wonderful - great detail and message (this one would have worked for this week too!). This whole scene came to life. God is good!

Oh, cool! Family stories like this are real treasures, and this was a good read.
This gave me chills. Love the message, and it's well written, too.

Great family history. It's so awesome to see the way God works -- great inspirational story.
Very good article about ministering angels. Also about learning to heed God's warning.
I really connected with this piece, probably because the story reminds me of my own once-wayward son, who is the subject of my own inspirational entry this week. I enjoyed your writing style and felt every pain and every joy along with Reinder's mother. Well done. Cheri
I love angel stories! And this one didn't disappoint! Very well written, short and to the point. Aren't we blessed that He looks out for us? ^_^
What a lovely story to pass down from generation to generation. And you did a beautiful job presenting it couched in the loving way that you did. Very nice job of writing!

This would be a good 1 for "Angels on Earth" magazine.

Myrna,
Sorry for my late comment, but I had to add my two cents. I loved the ending and the young man's willingness to listen to an elder, even though he was a (I like to hold out hope for all) PRE-CHRISTIAN. Thanks for sharing this one. Don

I agree with Molina,
I sold a story a year ago to Angels on Earth("The Hungry Dragonfly") Your's would be a great one to send to them.
