I know it's true
The Precious Lord Jesus
Will see us through
In times of trouble
Our heartbreaks and woes
He cares about us
From our heads to our toes
He sees us suffer
He sees when we cry
He knows our mistakes
Or when we ask why
How, I wonder
Why should He care
I'm just one person
With alot of wear
My life has been loaded
With sin and despair
I ask for forgiveness
But feel He don't care
Does there come a time
When enough is enough
Does He throw in the towel
When I've cried and my eyes all puffed
Just when I think
He has left me alone
There's a strange little voice
With a gentle tone
It says; My Dear Little Child
You've strayed, yes I know
The devil has tricked you
He's your worst kind of foe
He'll drag you in deep
He'll tell you all lies
When you fall for his ways
You suffer, you cry
Straighten yourself up
Don't you cry no more
I gave My life for you
We can win this war
So I got on my knees
And prayed until dawn
I suddenly felt
All the pain of sin gone
My heart leaped for joy
To know God is near
In the day or the night
I have nothing to fear
Isn't it wonderful
His Love and His Grace
Here in my heart
I wear God's Smiling face
