One morning, Bardavid woke up earlier than usual. This was going to be a special day for him—a day to start an arduous assignment that will not only get him misunderstood but also persecuted. He had the nerve and the motivation to go. The sea would be stormy and the fish, which would swallow with no intention of vomiting on land, were everywhere. But he was determined to face the sea.
He had that far maintained a low profile working in the family business.
When he woke up that morning; he worked extremely hard and made twelve doors in record time. He had requested to be allowed to specialise in doors. Asked why, he explained, “A door is a symbol of myself—I am the door”. Nobody, however, understood him.
He finished what he was to do for the day and announced that he was going fishing.
When he returned that evening, he had no fish with him.
“Hey, big brother, you had gone fishing, where is the fish? Didn’t catch any, did you?” His brother James asked.
“I did catch—four good ones!” Bardavid answered triumphantly.
“You sold them—show the money”.
“I don’t catch to sell, I catch to train to catch others”.
Failing to understand him, James commented, “There you go again! Always talking about incomprehensible things—maybe you should consider a course in ‘parabology’”.
The fishing expedition that Bardavid had gone to that afternoon turned out to be a big issue that a renowned media, The Chronicles of Ages, had the following report about it:
Jesus [Bardavid], walking by the sea of Galilee, saw two brethren, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers. And he saith unto them, “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.” And they straightway left their nets, and followed him. And going on from thence, he saw other two brethren, James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, in a ship with Zebedee their father, mending their nets; and he called them. And they immediately left the ship and their father, and followed him.(1)
When he said he was going fishing, Bardavid was going out to launch a global company that would specialise in fishing men out of the sea of sin. He maintained that unless men were caught in the net of God’s Word, they would all drown in the sea of sin.
