FaithWriters.com news and information for the write-brained Christian!
"What we believe is this: If we get included in Christ's sin-conquering death, we also get included in his life-saving resurrection. We know that when Jesus was raised from the dead it was a signal of the end of death-as-the-end. Never again will death have the last word." – Romans 6:6b (MSSG)
What a verse! Jesus' death and resurrection was the final stomp to the devil's head. And those who believe will be raised up with Jesus and live with Him forever. Jesus fought our battle and won! And because we are His, that means WE won!
What a reason to celebrate!
I hope this Easter you'll reflect on the wonderful assurance that Jesus conquered death forever in order to bring you life. And take some time to celebrate! Many members are delighted that the previous quarter is over. It was truly a tough one, with all topics focused around a geographical location. Some members mentioned that research was even required in order to create an entry that was authentic and accurate.
BUT…on to another quarter and a whole new set of topics, this time with absolutely no geography involved. (Whew!) The final quarter of this year begins on April 2nd and although it will definitely be challenging, it's also guaranteed to be FUN! OUT OF THE MOUTHS OF FAITHWRITERS:
This month, I asked the question, "How are you celebrating Eater Sunday?"
Here are some of the responses:
"I have gotten in the habit of getting up before dawn and going to the beach for a few hours contemplation before I head to church. The sky lightens briefly before the fog makes it too hard to see the ocean, then it bursts into flaming colors as the sun burns through to announce whether the day will be bright or rainy. Either way, it is always filled with promise." – Ed P. (Jesus Puppy)
"Our church is hosting a Passover Dinner/Seder on Good Friday, and I am SO looking forward to it, especially since Passover is going on during Easter week this year. Looking forward to reliving The Last Supper." – Joanne Sher
"My older sister has just become a grandmother and we are all going through to Port Elizabeth to see the latest member of the family. We have not spent Easter together as a family for years, so should be good. She also plays the organ at their church so we'll all be together at that." – Norma Hough
"I'll be doing a book signing on both Good Friday and Easter Sunday at EasterFest 2009." – Chrissy Siggee
HE IS RISEN! WHAT A REASON TO CELEBRATE!
HAVE A BLESSED EASTER AND KEEP WRITING FOR THE KINGDOM!
