Words fascinate me. They have tremendous power and meaning. Every day we have a choice: to use our words for evil or for good. Unintentionally we fall into the mundane world and mesh into people of judgement, ridicule, jealousy, envy and plain old grumpiness. We compare ourselves to our peers and even our elders, crying out “if only I were like them…then I would be happy” or “if only I had their job…then I could be a better person”. We come up with the most insane what if’s and pray for unrealistic realities. We get extremely depressed and anxious as we anticipate being like “them”.
But what if I told you that you were exactly who you were suppose to be? That maybe just maybe you are YOU for a reason. I came across the best statement the other day…
“There could never be a more beautiful YOU”.
So why is this statement so convicting? I’ll tell you why–because we don’t believe it, we honestly fall for the lie that we aren’t good enough, pretty enough, strong enough, capable enough, brave enough, smart enough and so on and so forth. We allow the enemy of our souls attack us on a daily basis and we have become immune to this sick game he has set up. Roars of laughter expel from satin’s body as we fall in defeat.
But you are more than your current situation, mindset and defeat.
‘In me you may have peace. In this world you WILL have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world’ John 16:33
Yes trouble is inevitable, it’s unfortunately bound to happen. Trials, tribulations and sorrow encompass our souls and leave us questioning the very existence of God.
This page is not a page to force you into believing something, it’s not meant to suddenly take away your pains and current hurts, or even force you into religion. It’s a place where a beautifully broken vessel of Christ is trying to express her random rantings and remarkable revelations.
I want you to leave my page encouraged by my happenings, spontaneous analogies and intriguing thoughts.
God doesn’t call the equipped, he equips the called. (the truth behind this statement has made me who I am today).
