I'm a native New Yorker who moved to the Carolinas/Charlotte area in October 2008. When the program I managed was moved to another organization in New Jersey, I prayed for direction and God opened the door for me to buy my first home in the Carolinas. My family moved to this area in 2006, and they encouraged me to consider moving near them. Everything fell into place, and I am enjoying a whole new life.
While an ongoing job search since 2008 has not been fruitful, I believe there is a reason for everything. In the meantime, I have found a great church and volunteer there and in my community. I have also discovered again and again how wonderfully God can provide for his children.
Most recently, I was able to write devotionals for my church's online devotonal series and have been doing that since 2010. I had not written anything since my move.
My passion is devotional writing, and my favorite all-time devotional is Streams in the Desert. I have read it countless times over the years, and it has never failed to lift my spirits or meet a need at crucial moments. Mrs. Cowman's book has been an inspiration and made me realize that devotinal writing is a ministry.
