My name is Marie Hearty and I am from Ontario, Canada. I am the proud mother of five children and a grandmother of two. I began writing when I was nine years old, and my passion to create stories has grown ever since. I started out writing fiction, but as the years went by, writing non-fiction became a huge part of my life. I write poetry, devotionals, prayers, letters, and articles on topics ranging from social issues, Christian living, the teachings of Jesus, and faith.
I studied with the Institute of Children’s Literature, and received two writing diplomas. I have written a Christian novel for teenage girls that I am in the process of editing, and then will submit it to a publisher. I am active in the Faithwriters community, and am a regular participant in the Writing Challenge each week. Recently, I had an article published in a Christian magazine for women.
My goal as a Christian writer is to inspire and teach my readers, and encourage them in their relationship with God. He is my focus, and may His will be done in my life.
