TITLE: The Art and Power of Poetry

I'm finally back with something new! There's not much to say about this since it should be self-explanatory. I just started thinking how artistic and powerful poetry can be and I wanted to write this. Thank you for reading and your critiques!
The art of the written word of poetry, great as any form of art
Is beautiful, powerful, mysterious, and romantic
It makes us think, and love and hate, cry, laugh, sing
There is no end to possibilities of emotions and arrangements

A zillion words to choose from, with their own definitions and connotations
Some rhyme with others, some have the same letters,
some fit together perfectly
Like a puzzle with no right answers, they can go wherever you please

Lines and stanzas from the words, just as many endless possibilities
Long and thoughtful verses full of many descriptions and thoughts to give us a clear picture in our minds
Short verses to make a point
Patterns, alliteration and rhymes to please the ears

Like music the words flow as water
Trickling, pouring, rushing, drifting, dripping, cold or hot,
Like paintings the images flash in our minds
Colorful scenery, plants and animals, people living and dying

In poetry the abstract becomes concrete
Life is immitated or definted
Feelings come out more clearly and loudly
Questions, answers, and emotions dance together

Words should not be underestimated
When wars begin and end with them
When people love or hate with them
When life or death is caused by them

When things are lost or gained by them
When actions begin and end with them
When truth is found or hidden by them
When God built the whole universe with them

Poetry, from the beginning of time to the end will last
A searchlight through darkness and a message to the world
Write it with love and care, read it with an open mind
Never put small vaule on the great power it holds
