HELP TOUR

It's easy to critique the works of others and get your work critiqued. Just follow the steps below:

1) Post your first piece.

2) You must then critique the work of another member to post another piece yourself.

3) For each critique you give, you earn 1 credit that can be used to post another one of your writings.

4) You can build up credits to be used at another time by giving critiques to others.

I know we’re not supposed to advertise but I promise this is a great cause! Teen twins Alex and Brett Harris have started a movement called the Rebelution; a revolutionary rebellion against low standards for teens (and anyone). They have a website about it with blogs and resources, along with a new book called “Do Hard Things” that I want to read. When I heard about them and checked out their website, I was so convicted and motivated that I’ve become a huge fan and want to share the information and do more for God. No surprise that I should write a rock song about this. Hope you like it! (Sorry if it sounds bland)
(spoken intro) You say you want a revolution?... You say you wanna rebel against something?... I know what we can do.... Follow me and I’ll show you all something that won’t disappoint.

(music starts)

1 Here I sit in my chair with my can of soda
Rocking at this video game like master Yoda
Kick back and burp like a battle cry
Staring at the screen, letting the world go by

2 The clock of my life is ticking away
Tomorrow will probably be another lazy day
Guess these years of life don’t really matter
The whole world is handed to me on a platter

(yell) What! Are! You doing with yourself? Take! Your! Life off the shelf.
It! Will! Be now or never. Know! That! Life is too short to waste.

3 The culture says “You’re young, live free,
have fun, be whatever you want to be.
Buy this, buy that and you’ll be in.
Having a little fun isn’t a sin.”

4 Immaturity, immodesty,
ignorance, irresponsibility.
Is this what God had in mind from you and me?
I dare you to let go and let Him set you free!

(yell) What will you miss if you choose to let go? Go, go, go, go, go, go (echo)
What will you lose if you forget the status quo? (echo)
Who will be distracted by the world’s tempting cake? (echo)
Who will be impaced by the choices you make? (echo)

5 Yeah, it won’t be easy but it won’t be dull
The easy life is overrated and it rots your skull
You can’t be stopped when you’re living for the King
You’ll be so full of life your soul will sing!

6 Now I’m chasing after God and picking up steam
Walking on water, running upstream
Let’s forget the ordinary and embrace the extreme
Live for His purposes, and fulfil your greatest dream

(overlapping voices) You are in the world but you are not of the world... Let no one despise you because of your youth... When I was a child I spoke as a child... Unless the Lord builds the house the laborers work in vain... Take up your cross and follow me... You cannot serve two masters... Die to yourself... What does it profit a man if he gain the world and lose his soul... Just let go

Do hard things! For His glo-ry
Do hard things! Be a part of the story!
Do hard things! Be a part of the solution
Do hard things! And join the rebelution

Do hard things! Take up your bed and walk!
Do hard things! Live on the edge of the Rock.
Do hard things! See what you were meant to be.
Do hard things! Live in light of eternity.

Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaah!
