Where do we go when the demons come
When they are determined to destroy
When they crush our dreams one by one
With each and every conceivable ploy
When they dim and blur our sight
When they diminish and beat us down
When they weaken our will to fight
And we begin slowly to lose ground
This is the time when God is very near
This is when He longs to speak to us
Even when we are to weak to hear
This is when we reach up, we must
This is when we, battered and brusied
Leave it all in His powerful hands
Even though we are dazed and confused
He holds us firmly and lets us stand
He gently encircles us from above
And breathes His spirit into our face
All the while showing us His love
Freely bestowing His mercy and grace
Then the demons are no longer
God has helped us win this round
He has made us stronger and stronger
His love has made us gain more ground
