A poet and a potter are similar you see,
for both are quite amazing to me.
One will evolve with pen and prose,
the other with a wheel and clay to mold.
A poet’s thought and a wandering word,
the clay cries to the potter to be heard.
The poet gives form in a written notion,
the potter begins with a skillful motion.
From the heart of an artist their work emerges,
from a soul felt passion and emotional urges.
Skillfully the master adds the finishing touch,
upon the project he admires so much.
At last, a masterpiece is born,
seeking admiration in a world of scorn.
Hoping others will find the same attraction,
in the creator’s final satisfaction.
