The Watchman
No one knows the day or hour
Of Jesus Christ return
But the watchman knows it season.
He stands on the watchtower
And cries, “The time is near.”
The watchman entreats, “See the signs of the nations.”
Everywhere you look, there is war,
And the rumors of war are growing louder.
The birth pains have already started
The line is drawn, Israel against the world.
The watchman cries out, “See the signs of the Earth.”
Earthquakes and Hurricane are greater than ever before.
Famines and starvation shake whole countries.
Pestilence, swine and bird flu, and Aids claim millions of lives.
“The Eye of God,” Helix nebula, is looking down fearfully on us.
The watchman pleads, “See the signs of society.”
Man is a self indulgent, envious seeker of pleasure, scoffer of the word.
He has turned to unnatural affections that don’t honor God or families.
Children are disobeying parents and honor no one.
Hate, angry, lust, and every form of lawlessness fill our jails.
The watchman beseeches, “See the signs of unity.”
Nations call for the rise of one world leader.
The economists call for one currency around the Earth.
Peace Talks promise false tranquility and harmony.
New false prophets and false Christ’s are surfacing every day.
The watchman implores, “See the signs of Gospel.”
The Good News has spread throughout most of the world.
We believe anything and nothing, only wanting our ear tickled.
Our hearts are cold, our churches void of true worship.
We are willingly ignorant of God plans and welcome false doctrines.
The watchman shouts, “Look up
For he will come riding on a cloud.”
Are you ready to see the King?
Have you bowed your knee to Him?
Will you be with Him or oppose Him?
The watchman inquires, “Are listening for the trumpet call
That will sound the beginning of His reign?”
Will it be a sweet sound to your ear
Or will it set fear in your heart
And condemn your soul to Hell?
The watchman pleas, “Christian wake up.”
For soon it will be too late for the lost.
Whom are you bringing with you into heaven and everlasting life?
Who will be left behind, because you would not speak?
What will you say to them, when they ask why you were silent?
