HELP TOUR

It's easy to critique the works of others and get your work critiqued. Just follow the steps below:

1) Post your first piece.

2) You must then critique the work of another member to post another piece yourself.

3) For each critique you give, you earn 1 credit that can be used to post another one of your writings.

4) You can build up credits to be used at another time by giving critiques to others.

After hearing about and listening to angry and hopeless teen music occasionally, I'm fed up with it all and heard enough. I feel like it's time to fire back with some of my own passionate rock music, but in a way that I hope is encouraging and challenging. I feel like I'm jumping out on a limb in an area that I don't know very well, but I often like to try new things. To boldy go where no writer has gone before! What do you think? Thanks for your critiques! (my shortest title ever) Special thanks to Julie Gregory for the 2nd line of the 1st chorus.
*electric guitar and drums intro*

You say that you hate your life
You say that you hate everything
You scream at the top of your lungs
and demand that all of us listen to you

You try to drown out all the pain
You shut out those that want to help
You dwell in darkness and misery
And hate all that is good

I have a message for you...

(chorus) It's time to get UP! Get UP! Get UP!
Quit fakin' and hatin', look at where you're at!
Get UP! Get UP! Get UP!
Your horrible attitude makes me wanna
Throw UP! Throw UP! Throw UP!
Is this the way you want to live your life?
Get UP! Get UP! Get UP!
Put down your verbal weapons of combat!

Now you may not care what I'm saying here
But I care too much to let you go on like this
Put aside your dark and unstable emotions
And just hear me out for this one moment

I've tried to be nice and you wouldn't listen
So now I'm gonna have to get in your face
If you can't take it then don't dish it out
Will you stay here forever or move on?

(chorus 2) Get UP! Get UP! Get UP!
It's time to become who God made you to be
Get UP! Get UP! Get UP!
A man or woman with an amazing purpose
Get UP! Get UP! Get UP!
Let go of your anger, pride, and ignorance
Get UP! Get UP! Get UP!
Leave this battle before you're struck by debris

*music grows louder*

Let go...
Let go...
Look up...
Look up...

Let go (of your building anger)
Let go (of the pain you're clinging to)
Look up (to the sun-filled sky)
Look up (to the One who wants to help you)

Let go, go, go go, GO! GO! GO! GO!

(chorus 3) Get UP! Get UP! Get UP!
Open your eyes and see this awesome creation
Get UP! Get UP! Get UP!
Open your mind and find the truth to stand on
Get UP! Get UP! Get UP!
Open your heart, let out the pain and bitterness
Get UP! Get UP! Get UP!
Open your heart and feel a great transformation!

*music plays a little longer and then ends*
