Exciting Writing Challenge Changes – and More!

The FaithWriters Writing Challenge has, for years, been a mainstay of FaithWriters. The opportunity to grow in your writing, develop friendships among the writers, write to a topic and deadline, and more have long made it a favorite of FWers. And the cash prize for Best of the Best certainly wasn’t a deterrent either.

Well, starting when the challenge starts again this Thursday, April 5 after its break, there will be even more incentive.

The Writing Challenge in 2012

Those of you who are challenge devotees probably noticed that we had a no-challenge week this past week that we weren’t expecting. But never fear, the Writing Challenge will be back tomorrow with a new topic.

A lot of people were struggling with the computer-related topics, and because of this, that theme has been cut short. Starting tomorrow, the challenge will be back (with non-tech topics), but with a WEEKLY format, as it used to be, rather than a two-week opportunity. [...]

Patience, Challenge Entrants…

Getting the shakes? Breaking out in night sweats? Are your fingers starting to twitch? If you’re a regular Weekly Writing Challenge entrant, you may be experiencing some serious withdrawal symptoms.

The Writing Challenge runs in four 10-week increments per year. After each quarter, there is typically a short break to give the judges a reprieve and to gear up for the next quarter. The “Time” topics ended a couple weeks ago, so we are in the middle of a hiatus.
