Twelve years. Has it really been that long? That short?

Even after a dozen years, there are some pictures I still can’t look at without choking up, without mourning. Without forgetting Who is in control. But no matter what I remember, it’s still true. He is sovereign of our days and nights. Of our blessings and curses. Of good and evil. And we rejoice in all he has done over the last twelve years. May we NEVER forget the reason for Patriot Day.

Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails   and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will be joyful in God my Savior. Habakkuk 3:17-18
