FaithWriters has always been, and always will be, about helping Christian writers. The Writing Challenge, message boards, annual conference, blogging contests, and more all serve FaithWriters’ members to help them improve their craft.
But it is not the only focus of this site, nor, I imagine you agree, should it be.
FaithWriters has adopted Matthew 6:33 as our site verse.
“But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”
We at FaithWriters encourage you to read Matthew 6:25 -34 so you will better understand why we chose this verse. It always applies, but we feel that it is especially applicable in these trying times. To date 78 people from around the world have told us they have accepted Jesus as their Savior from the videos on the site. Together we are making an impact for Christ.
Mike and Bea Edwards, FaithWriters’ owners since early this year, have written an open letter to all members about the status of FaithWriters and their future plans. The first few paragraphs are included below. To read the rest, click on the link at the bottom of this post.
September 12, 2012 Letter to the Members
Dear FaithWriters Members,
First, we want to thank you for being a part of FaithWriters. Your involvement has made FaithWriters such a blessing to so many people over the past decade. You are greatly appreciated.
On February 1, we took over the ownership of FaithWriters, and we are delighted to be a part of such a great, creative group of believers. We love to hear about the writing successes of our members, and it’s exciting to think that FaithWriters may have played some small part in those achievements.
There have been several changes to the site since February, and we are aware that not all changes have been well received by all our members. In response, we would like to briefly share our hearts on this matter.
I’m excited about FaithWriters’ direction. How about you?
