Tuesday, November 1 started a writing frenzy for several FaithWriters, and even more writers. Just FYI? I’m one of them (for the very first time).
For the last dozen years, folks from across the world have been setting out to write 50,000 words in thirty days – specifically, the 30 days of November. It’s a crazy goal, but who said writers weren’t crazy? Introducing: National Novel Writing Month – or NaNoWriMo. (Click here for the official NaNoWriMo website)
I don’t know about you, but this isn’t something I can even CONSIDER attacking alone. So I’m planning to connect with fellow FWers at the Faithwriters NaNoWriMo Buddy Thread on the FaithWriters boards. Plus, if you’re on Facebook, you can join my dear friend Vonnie at her “NaNoWriMo Cheerleaders from the Sidelines” page, where non-NaNoers and NaNoers alike will give you moral support. Plus, there’s a Facebook group, started by Amy/Sparrow, for encouragement to get those words written (and we ALL need that!) – come join Writing Fun and Support. AND, there’s even an Official FaithWriters Thread on the NaNoWriMo boards.
And when you’re done? Check out this Opportunity for FWers participating in NaNoWriMo.
It’s not too late to start. Remember, ANY writing you get done is more than you had to start with.

Glad you are joining us Joanne! A lot to get accomplished for sure. I’ve only written about 1200 words or so far! But at least it’s begun. Well guess I’d better go get my NANO geer on and begin! See ya around 🙂
I am and it’s going well: 13,502 on day 5.
Wow, Kim. You’ve got about double my count.
And Christine – ANY words are better than none. And I KNOW you’ve made progress since then. Keep plugging away!
Thanks Joanne. I have and having fun doing it!
