I’ve been your blogger for almost two months now, and I’ve enjoyed getting the posts out, and interacting with you, the readers. I love learning about you, and about the craft of writing, from your post responses. I’m loving reading your comments especially on my Thursday posts, and got quite a blessing last week when you shared your life stories in brief. And I’m learning along with you on the writing craft posts, and drawing closer to the Lord through the devotionals.
But what I really want to know is: what types of posts do YOU like the most? You see, starting this coming Monday, September 26, the blog will be changing its frequency. Instead of every weekday, the FaithWriters blog will be providing new content three days a week. Each Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, there will be a new post for your reading and commenting pleasure.
But WHAT will the post be? That’s, at least partly, up to you. As of now, I’m planning to continue the once-weekly writing craft articles (they’ve been running on Tuesday up until now), and obviously any FaithWriters news that needs to be spread. But other than that, I’m open.
So that’s where you come in. I’d love to hear what YOU, the readers, think I should keep, what should go, and what should be occasional, and, of course, what new ideas/topics you’d like to see here.
Here’s a list of some of the things I’ve been doing (just so you don’t need to go back and look). I’d love your thoughts, in the comments, on which are your favorites, which you’d just as much like to go away, and any new ideas you might have.
Member spotlight (interview with FaithWriters members)
Member shout-outs (good news on sales, publications, etc.)
Writing craft articles
Devotionals
Birthday/This Day In History (a writing-related post related to the specific date – these have been Thursdays)
FaithWriters features (a post about different features of FaithWriters)
What would you most like to see on the FaithWriters blog? Looking forward to your feedback.

I love any article on the craft of writing. I always pick up a tidbit here and there of something I didn’t know.
As for new ideas, articles on marketing are always needed
I also love the articles on craft writing and would enjoy marketing ideas as well. I feel inspired when you ask each of us to respond to a question, most recently our life story.
I don’t know it this is possible, or even makes sense. However, I know of at least two, and I’m sure there are more Faithwriters’ who never accesss the Forums. Yet, quite often, there are questions and answers on the forums; and even news raised by other Faithwriters’ with several responses that might be helpful to non-Forum readers who receive the Blog as e-mail.
For ex: information about a Reader’s Digest Contest was posted on Open Forum.
This could possibly go in a News of the Week Blog column…, again, for those who never or rarely navigate the Forum, or miss the thread. Another ex: Recently, someone posted a question about planning a Writer’s Wordshop. Perhaps, you could find an “expert” on the subject to write an article in the Blog. I think the Forum is an excellent resource for Blog articles.
My beloved friend…A good writer is a glorious grift from the Lord.
My strong belief is that once I have become a true writer….I hear and appreciate all good writing that blesses me. In turn, my duty is to bless my readers profpundly– just as I have been blessed.
SO! WRITE ON DEAR FELLOW WRITERS! MAY YOU CONTINUE TO BE GIFTED FOEVER AMEN.
IN HIS NAME ALWAYS…
Henrietta W. Romman
I do agree. for myself it will always be articles of great spiritual value.
My friends…In truth I am a monthly columnist for the glory of God in the Ozark Senior Living Newspaper.
I’ve been one for the past 12 years.
Let me know if you desire and wish me to share my columns with you…
“For your Glory O lord”…In Jeus Name…Amen
I agree with all the above. I tend to have my own devotionals sorted–prayer chair; quiet room – and have not made found myself adapting to the computer screen for this source, so I cannot really comment on the devotional side.
I love the craft of writing and think news of the week, breaking news even- would be genius. I enjoy getting to know other FWs through the interviews. Thank you for your input.
My third book, was entitled: “TO GOD BE THE GLORY,FROM AFRICA TO MISSOURI”.
Being here in Missouri, in the St. John’s hospital premises ‘special times of worship’ where the book was away from me.. I clearly heard our Heavenly Father’s voice whisper gently to me: “My child…you defied me through having your own way…against devotions from the “lighted” pages I allowed for you all . Now…do you not wish it was the other way round instead?”….
I tell you–the Holy Spirit is always right. Always truthful….let’s all train ourselves to REJOICE IN HIS NAME–”GOD’S NAME”…in every word..or even thought HE blesses us with, in life wherever we are, even through the computer.
Praise the Lord! HALLELUIAH…AMEN
One change I hope never surfaces is your departure, Joanne, as the Blog’s bright light, in providing inspiration, innovation, and creatively competent editorial direction.
Aww, Bryan – you’re too sweet
Thanks. And to everyone else – I’m definitely taking your suggestions into consideration!
I like all the ones listed except the Birthday/This Day in History -
> these might be used in one sentence to spur writing ideas or to make a
> brief comment only.
> As far as other ideas – how about one based on answered prayer or on
> scriptures that made a difference in one’s life.

> Also, I’d like to know how one can submit a devotional or “blog” to be

I also agree with Lillian Rhoades about answering questions from the forum – especially the ones that appear regularly.
