According to www.holidayinsights.com, tomorrow is “Tell a Fairy Tale” Day!
Who doesn’t love a good fairy tale? Hello…there’s a reason Disney continues to produce movies based on fairytales (the latest being Tangled, based on the story Rapunzel, which I’ve heard is wonderful!)
As writers, we can appreciate fairytales even more. So today for Free-for-All Friday, share your favorite!
A few of mine:
Cinderella…Jack and the Beanstalk…The Ugly Duckling…The Gingerbread Man…
Your turn!

I love Cinderella especially as told in the film, ‘Ever After.’ Of course the Disney version will always be special.
Have you ever seen “A Cinderella Story” with Hillary Duff? That’s a cute real-life movie, based on the fairy tale.
I really liked Enchanted, too. Looking forward to Beastly, coming out in theaters in a couple weeks, based on Beauty and the Beast.
Stone soup..love the message..should be requored reading in school…even for high school!
I loved Beauty and the Beast even before the cute Disney movie. I appreciate the way she learns to love the beast before she knows what he really looks like. It’s a great story to read to my grandchildren and tie it in to the encouraging Bible verses that man usually looks at the outside but God always looks at our hearts! And thanks for the heads up, Lynda. I’ll have to look into Beastly for my grandkids and me.
Beauty and the Beast and Cinderella have always been my two favourites, and I love them even more when a good movie is made about them.
The Emperor’s New Clothes
A great picture of how we can let pride get the best of us and of how a the simple observations of an innocent child can reveal the truth behind the masks we wear (or think we are wearing).
