Last week, we upgraded the FaithWriters forum. Thanks for all of your prayers for a smooth transition. The boards now have a new look! One new feature is you can now add your birthday to your profile. All of the day’s birthdays are posted at the bottom of the boards. There is also a Birthdays and Special Days forum where you can send your personal birthday wishes. Pretty cool! Check it out: MESSAGE BOARDS
You’ve probably seen the various ads placed on FaithWriters.com. We try to post only those ads which we feel may be a benefit to you. But please keep in mind that FaithWriters is not directly affiliated with these companies. If you click on an ad and sign up for a membership or service on their site, and then have any sort of issue, please contact that particular company, not FaithWriters. Thanks!
We’re about halfway through the “As Time Goes By” quarterly theme. Winners of the “Era” topic will be announced today and “Week(s)” entries will be posted. View the winners, read the entries, and check out the new topic here: WEEKLY WRITING CHALLENGE
Make it a great Thursday!

I have been following Faith Writers for a while now on Facebook. Last night I was missing my husband (he is deployed) and came across your link on facebook and when I opened it the Writing Challenge was Week(s). I immediately thought of the weeks in a year in relation to how long the deployment we are going through will take. I began to write about it and before long it was almost 1:00 A.M. I went to bed because I was going to post my writing this morning after arriving to work. However, my day became very busy quickly and when I signed up so I could post what I wrote I realized that it was too late because I am on Central Time. I know that I can’t be considered for the contest but am asking if my writing can still be published on the site. It is the first time I have ever penned anything other than a poem or song and it would mean so much if this could be made possible. If it is possible please let me know the next steps to take to submit my writing. Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Tanya Chowen
Tanya,
Welcome to FaithWriters! Glad you found us. And yes, you may certainly post your work on the site. Silver (Free) members are able to post their articles, stories, poems, and other writings in the General Submissions area. Once you login to your account, go to the Post Your Articles and Manage Writing link. From there, you will be able to copy and paste your work to be published on the site. The steps are pretty self-explanatory, but if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask.
Again, glad you found us. Hope FaithWriters is a blessing to you!
Thank you for such a quick response. However, I have paid for the Gold membership $5.95 per month so that I can participate inthe Writers Challenge if a topic strickes my fancy. Why am I not having access to that area? When the access is corrected is there a specific area within there to post the Week(s) writing?
Yes, Tanya, I just double checked and you are signed up as a Gold member. You definitely have access to the Weekly Writing Challenge. You’ll need to enter through the Challenge page, which you can get to from your FaithWriters Member Login page. Here is the direct link: http://www.faithwriters.com/writing-challenge-intro.php
In the left sidebar, there is a link to enter that week’s Challenge. Topics change every Thursday at 10:00 AM, Eastern Time.
Hope this helps. Good luck!
