Another fun holiday for you from HolidayInsights.com…
Did you know that January is National Oatmeal Month AND National Soup Month? It’s true! With much of the USA covered in snow, I can understand the soup thing, since it’s warm and everything, but oatmeal? Well, I suppose both soup and oatmeal are comfort foods. And in these dreary winter months, we could use some extra comfort.
So that brings me to this week’s Free-for-All Friday question.
When you write, are the M&M’s always within reach? Is the coffee always brewing?
What comfort foods (or drinks) do you find yourself turning to when you write?

Pretty much anything that happens to be around, to be often – but almost always something crunchy. Chips, crackers, etc.
Always coffee, a steaming mug, dash of milk and three cubes of sugar. Always hot; I’m always re-heating my mug, even to the last tablespoon.
My think-foods are coffee and chocolate. Which probably explains why I’ve gained about five pounds since writing on a more consistent basis.
I do like coffee and will reach for a diet coke when I want something cold. I try to refrain from snacking when writing but when I can no longer resist I have a jar of chocolates ready and waiting.
Coffee. Most definitely coffee. Although I find that gum or hard candies also help me to concentrate. And I’m never far from chocolate no matter what
I love tic-tacs!!! I just pop ‘em after every page.
A cup of coffee is always nearby. Right now, the open bag of Hershey Kisses is calling my name.
