Entries for the 2010 Page Turner contest closed on October 31st. A total of 39 entries were submitted this year and after a month of judging, the winners have been determined. The actual announcement was made yesterday on the FaithWriters.com website and in the December newsletter, but in case you missed it, I am thrilled to be the one to share the news with you.
The Page Turner contest was created in 2007 exclusively for FaithWriters Platinum 500 members. Each year, the focus switches from fiction to non-fiction and 2010 was the year for non-fiction. Members submit the first chapter of their manuscript along with a one-page synopsis of the entire projected book. Entries are judged not only on craftsmanship and creativity, but on the overall page turning potential (hence the name Page Turner Contest). The grand prize winner receives an incredible prize package consisting of free editing, publicity and marketing, a beautiful award plaque and $800 cash! You can see this is a contest worth entering!
So, let’s get right to it. The grand prize winner of the 2010 Page Turner Contest is…
