Here’s a fun question for Free-for-All Friday…
If you could select any career path you wanted (besides writer), which road would you choose?

An artist. I love painting but I’m not great at it. It would be so awesome to have the gift of being able to paint beautiful things that people could enjoy. Next to that an ultrasound tech at a pregnancy crisis center. That might happen someday.
Me, too–Artist. I find there really is not enough time to delve into all of the creative projects I’d like to do.
A philanthropist. I derive such joy from helping others. For many years, I was on the receiving end of charity. Seeds of compassion to bless others was sown in my needs. Wish I was wealthy; but since I’m not, and never have been, I do acts of charity with what I have. Eliminating being a writer (which is my greatest desire right now), then I am fulfilled at being a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and being in full time ministry.
I am retired but chose to be an educator years ago and it was a blessing. Now, I’d like to be a writer.
My dream is not too far from being a writer, but it’s something I’ve always wished I could do…
I’d own a smallish bookstore in a smallish town. It would have a cafe that served yummy pastries, good coffee and specialty teas. We would have local Christian musicians come in on the weekends for free acoustic concerts and we would have a room set aside for bible study groups, writer groups or book clubs to meet. The staff would be friendly and know everyone by name.
Yep, that’s what I would do if I had the money and the opportunity!
Great blog! much appreciated.
Our dream is to own a retreat house/bed and breakfast.
Choosing to do it differently, a different path – wow, I had a wonderful career in a not so wonderful organization. Okay, I might have gone into physical therapy or another like field. As a retiree I fully enjoy helping the disabled and pain-ridden through my T’ai Chi for wellness classes.
Sampler of ice cream flavors? Travelocity gnome? Farmer on a snake and spider-free homestead? I kinda like Jan C’s suggestion… sounds peaceful and meaningful. Could we throw an ice cream shop in there too?
