Did you know that May is Date Your Mate month? It’s true! So for today’s Tackle it Tuesday topic, I’m challenging you to write a true story in 200 words or less about a particular date you’ve had with your mate. It could be sweet, romantic, or just plain silly, but I want to hear about your real-life date.
Can’t think of one? So sorry to hear that! Methinks you need to spice up your marriage and go on some more memorable dates! Ok, ok…you have my permission to make up a date. Just be sure to note whether it’s a true story or completely fabricated.

With my arms around my husband’s waist, I enjoyed a ride on the back of my husband’s motorcycle….the evening star and a half-pie moon tacked on an indigo sky…twilight clinging to the silhouettes of the pines…lights dancing on the black waters of the harbor…the scent lilacs and the newly-mown grass…peepers singing among the cat tail shoots…the hum of the bike…feeling safe with him…coming home…the warmth of the house as I step inside…feeling content.
