OK…so I just realized I posted the Thirsty Thursday article on What’s Happening Wednesday. Oops….guess I’m human after all! So, today, I’ll post the article that was supposed to be posted yesterday. We’ll call this “Switcharoo Week” and I’ll do my best not to let it happen again.
Where two or more are gathered…
There are thousands of writers’ sites out there in cyberland. And many of them are excellent. There are sites that provide a wealth of information, as well as practical tools and resources that can give you everything you need to become a better writer. Yep, there are tons of those writing sites out there.
When it comes to Christian writing sites, the number drastically decreases. Yes, you will find many that are awesome and provide you with fantastic resources specific to the Christian writer. You may even find some Christian writing sites where you happen to connect with a couple people through the message board or other avenue.
But what you don’t come across very often is a site that not only consists of terrific resources, but also offers incredible Christian fellowship and real care between its members. A site where strangers don’t exist. Where it’s like one big family rather than members who live thousands of miles apart. A site where hearts are joined by the common bond of Christ and genuine love for one another.
In other words, FaithWriters.
One way FaithWriters strives to maintain unity and fellowship among its members is through prayer. Not only do we have members who are committed to praying daily for the site and the FaithWriters body, we also offer a Prayer Request Forum where you can go when you have a need in your life. Prayer for healing…restoration in your marriage or relationships…emotional issues…trouble with your children…looking for a job…making major decisions…anything you are struggling with, concerned about, or need agreement on, there are people who would love to pray with and for you.
If you don’t have a current prayer request, or don’t feel comfortable sharing right away, come on in to pray with someone else. There is always another member who can use an extra prayer or two lifted up. Then stick around to see how God answers those prayers!
Also check out the Praise Report Forum, which focuses on glorifying God for how good He is!
Each one of you is such a blessing. You are what makes FaithWriters what it is – the home for Christian writers.
“Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. For where two or more are gathered together in My Name, I am there in the midst of them.” — Matthew 18: 19-20

All I can say is, Praise the LORD for Faithwriters. The people here, the services offered and challenges issued have shaped and molded my walk with God for the last year and a half. Huge, bountiful and beautiful blessings!
(P.S. LOVE this blog, keeps me in the loop with the blink of free time I grab here and there. Keep up the great work Lynda – you’re a doll)
Faithwriters was worth the search on the web. The opportunity to have my work seen by believers and critiqued by believing writers is too good to be true (but it really is). There are many, many writing sites, and all too often they are all over the place in ideas and concepts. “You don’t vote on truth”. This is the best place to be for a writer.
