Something different again…gotta keep you guys on your toes!
Everyone seems to have a particular Bible verse that means a lot to them. A verse they cling to in times of trouble, meditate on every morning, or quote often.
So, in 50 words or less, tell me your favorite Bible verse and why.
Looking forward to your answers!

“Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on Thee, because he trusteth in Thee” (Isaiah 26:3) No matter what storm comes my way, focusing on God keeps me from worrying about the waves.
I chose Proverbs 3:5-6 as my “life verse” years ago. It’s my constant reminder to trust God in EVERYTHING, regardless of my understanding, feelings, or thoughts on the matter. If I acknowledge His hand in everything, I know that He’ll guide me in the right direction.
Jesus answered, “I am the Way and the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father, except through Me. – John 14:6.
Every verse of the Bible would be drier than dust, if this were untrue; every verse of the Bible is livelier than life, because it is true.
Isaiah 26:3 came to mind when I read, “What is you favourite verse?”
Gods Word says, “I will keep in perfect peace,he whose mind is stayed on thee.”
Of course I believe a favoured verse may vary compared with the moment.
As we age peace is the place we all desire to be. With peace comes a certainty that all is going well in our domain. It brings tranquility and serenity…
Altermately it generates good Physical and Mental Health. Our heart is settled and bloodpressure doesn’t rise. Our mind is calm and we feel happy.
Thank you Lord for meeting my every need to be at peace.
A daily reminder that God is with me from Jer. 20:11 hangs above my kitchen sink: “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” God is with me through everything.
Wonderful verses! Keep them coming!
My favorite: “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” (Proverbs 3:5-6) Because even when I can’t feel His Presence, or worry I’ve missed His direction, it reminds me I’m covered.
I take great comfort in Psalm 1, especially verse 3: “He (the blessed man) shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in season, whose leaf also shall not wither, and whatever he does shall prosper”. I should like to be that kind of Godly person that would be a place of comfort and rest to those in need. I picture a lovely weeping willow, offering shade and a lovely place to lie down and rest.
One of my favorite verses: Psalm 143:10
“Teach me to do Thy will, for Thou art my God. Thy Spirit is good; lead me
into the land of uprightness.”
I heard God’s call to missions over sixty five years ago, I knew God had a plan
for my life. I needed His leadership for my future, for marriage, for where
I would serve. I took this verse as my guide. Today, I can say, “Jesus led
me all the way!”

“Jesus wept.” One verb,One noun. Reminds me that when no human understands my silence nor my screams… He understands. His sorrowed tears tell me of humanities boundaries. My inadequacies beckon to His strength as regal tears answer and quench my flesh. Loosed, I evacuate my own gauze infested crypt.
“Master, You have healed me and drove out the leprosy from my unclean body. I stared to show the Cohen as You instructed me. On the way I felt power and light course through my body. When I saw my once dead fingers pink with life and my shoulders once empty of flesh but now filled with clean new skin, I knew was changed. I returned to thank you for this fresh new chance. I live.”
Then Y’shua said, “Were not nine healed? Where are they?” Y’shua looked out beyond the once leprous man but saw no one.

Sorry I forgot a VERY important word…
A comment to the words by Ruth S. on 03/17/10: ‘Trust the Lord with all thine heart…’ He has proven Himself so many times that it is difficult not to acknowledge His work and blessings.
Thanks, Ruby
