Have you ever sat out by the pond to throw the pebbeles across the water? Just to watch how many times it skips until it sinks to bottom. I believe in dealing with grief sometimes it is just like this illustration.
Your life is going wonderful and you think your on top of the world. Then one by one troubles start to hit. Little by little a piece of you has been driven away from your soul. You began to do things sometimes that you never thought you would do. Your faith becomes weak and you become numb to the Holy Spirit. Until finally, you dropped to the bottom of the lake just like the pebble!
Isn't it amazing sometimes how when we feel trapped as though we can not move God steps in. Lately, I have been reminded that those are the times in our lifes that God was protecting us from something more horrible. Even worse than the grief and pain we are exsperincing now.
That is God's love at hand. His love helps us to get through the tough times and to make it to another day. God tells us that there is a time for everything and everything in its place!
