How sad and hopeless life would be
without you, Lord, who died for me.
You gave your all, can I give no less?
You, alone, were heaven's best.
Ten thousand angels could have come
and released you from the cross.
But out of pure, unselfish love
you thought only of the lost.
Knowing this, I make a vow:
my life I'll spend for thee.
For when my soul was sure to die
