“I rejoice in your promise like one who finds great spoils”
[Psalm 119: 162 NIV]
The promise of God that has not caused you to rejoice is yet to be yours, for a man cannot help rejoicing over what is his.
An athlete that has just won a gold medal in an Olympic competition will without doubt, joyously celebrate and rejoice. Why? Because he/she knows without the shadow of a doubt that the gold medal is his or hers for the taking.
Any promise or Word from God that has not caused you to rejoice is yet to be yours. At times, an individual may even weep – shading tears of joy after receiving a promise or a prophetic Word from God. If a Word from God causes you to leap for joy or even causes you to shed tears of joy, then, know that, that promise or prophetic word is yours for the taking.
In the Bible text above, the Psalmist said, he rejoices in God’s promise like one that had already found a great spoil. What this means is that, he saw every promise of God as what he already had, he saw every promise of God as good as been fulfilled already!
You can never enjoy the promise of God that had not cause you to rejoice, for the Scriptures says “It is with joy you will draw water out of the wells of salvation [Isaiah 12:3]
Until the promises of God caused you to rejoice, then you had not trusted in God enough, for if it is the promise(s) of God, then it must cause you to rejoice.
Writing else where in the Scriptures, the Psalmist said “I ate it and it was the delight of my soul”. What the Psalmist was talking about was God’s Word, and the same Scriptures goes on to say; “Delight yourself in the Lord and He shall grant you the desires of your heart (Psalm 37:4).
In other words, by eating God’s Word which are God’s promises, you should be excited and delighted by it and that is when God ‘has no option’ but to grant to you the desires of your heart.
The Word of God is self-excited, it doesn’t need another thing to be added to it to make it exciting, and that is the reason those that feed on it finds it so exciting and are always excited.
So, the Psalmist kept receiving the WORD which kept exciting him and the more excited he gets, the more of God’s promises he enjoyed. So, out of the excitement of the WORD a man is delighted and so God keeps granting to him the desires of his heart.
A Prophet that had not excited himself in God’s WORD can hardly be used of God as an agent of liberation and restoration.
A close look at the Scriptures would let you know that everyman that God had used in the termination of afflictions had been someone that had excited himself in the WORD.
Prophets terminated the afflictions in the lives of men because they had known what it means and what it takes to find excitement in God’s WORD. This is because, when a man is excited by the WORD, his spiritman is lifted enough to catch and command the move of the Spirit, and until there is a move of the Spirit, there cannot be a termination of affliction in the lives of God’s people. In other words, every man that is Word-excited would automatically terminate afflictions in his own life and in the lives of others as the need arises.
The Conclusion of the Matter:-
Your being excited over a prophetic Word or a promise from God is the evident token of your faith in His ability to bring to pass what He has spoken to you through His Word or through the mouth of any of His anointed Servant.
Be excited over every prophetic Word/promise(s) you’ve received or will ever receive from the Father even if the prevailing winds points to the contrary. Jehovah Elohin, the Creator of the ends of the earth is never limited by contrary winds.
Don’t Ever Doubt God’s Promises And Prophecies. Once Spoken, They Are As Good As Done!
