Scrooge repents of his do-gooding ways and reverts back to even eviler disposition, giving Bob Cratchit "a good ol' fashioned and well deserved" Victorian horse-whipping, he evicts the Cratchits from their home, guts the house with fire, rents the shell to an opium den, and sells Tiny Tim into child labor.
"God Protect Us Every One, From Scrooge," Tiny Tim intones pitifully with a tear before he is carted off to a life of pain, misery and hard, hard labor in the iron works foundry.
