What if it was possible, just for a day,
To live life by remote control?
If you had the power, would you dare exchange
Priceless days for the ease of your soul?
Imagine this life, unrestricted by time,
All controlled by when you say when.
The word "memory" wouldn't exist anymore
Just press 'Rewind' and live it again.
Press 'Pause' to savor this moment forever
The good times will last for all time!
And don't worry about ever forgetting something
Touch 'Record' and it comes right to mind.
Can't wait for a certain event to occur?
Hit 'Fast Forward' and it takes place today.
And for days when life gets just a little too loud
Press 'Mute' and it all goes away.
The ideal existence, wouldn't you say?
So perfect...but what is the price?
The price is your life - all its meaning and worth
For this pleasure, the supreme sacrifice.

Very profound. I love the format and agree the loss would not be worth the ease although I must confess lately I may have been wanting the easy way for a while. Your little piece has made me rethink that...
I loved this Lori! Will never look at the remote the same again. I guess PAUSE would be my favorite, but as you said, I would be sacrificing life as we know it... if we could freeze all the good moments, how could we grow? Lots to think about... very creative!
