WEDDING POEM
In quiet radiance
The Bride
Approaches
Beauty and finery
Outdone
By the precious jewel inside
Of her spirit ,
Nourished by her God.
There is love in her heart for Jesus
And for the one who is written to be
Hers, to help and meet and join
In destiny,
One flesh.
We prophecy,
This wife will always be
Clothed in purple
and weaving fine linens sourced
From fields that she buys.
As as she stands, shoulder to shoulder
With her husband who sits in the gate
There will arise from her the spirit of Deborah
She will be as wise and able to weave songs
to God from the depths of her heart
and trusted, her heart in his heart and his in hers
Together today, this man and this woman
Joined in destiny will be a testimony
Of how eyes, fixed on Jesus
Bring the honour of God.
