Prayers
Dear Friend,
It was good to hear from you and congratulations to your sister, on what she has won so far in the photo contest. I loved her picture. That is so great that when your sister's husband heard his favorite song, he stopped the car and started dancing in the middle of the road with his wife after a hard day of branding cattle. It's a tribute to marriage and how we should enjoy it to the end.
I have found through my many trials and tribulations in life (and I have brought many upon myself because of my pride), that the one thing that I can always count on is the Love of God that exists in my heart as well as the hearts of all people. Whether we acknowledge God or not, He will always answer the desires of the Love in our hearts.
So I will pray to our Lord Heavenly Father and our Lord Jesus, not for just any desire that you and your sister have, but for the desires that you both have, that comes from the Love in your hearts.
Instead of my vote in your sister’s photo contest, you will both get my prayers. I have no faith in votes anymore, just prayers. I will leave the voting up to the rest of the country folk.
The world is constantly trying to destroy my heart but answered prayers and the Love of others are constantly healing my heart. I will be anxious to hear how He answers these prayers.
I have entered that phase in my life, where my father is still alive, but is totally lost. It is hard to see the one, that has taken care of his family for so long, lose all capabilities of caring for anyone, including himself. All the doctors, that we have come in contact with, cannot believe that, in his current physical condition, my dad is still alive or that he is in no pain. God has been merciful, because of many prayers. I will be going this next week to see him and his 95 year old aunt (and my great aunt) . His aunt is living with him and taking care of him. She is flourishing because she takes care of him and has a loving purpose. He is falling into a deep depression, because he refuses to find a loving purpose. Instead he has chosen to create battles in which he can fight, battles that have no positive outcome. Unfortunately these battles have only brought heartache to the ones that he loves and has always tried to protect.
Life sure is an adventure as long as I make God the most important part of my life. Without Him, it is no longer an adventure, it's plain frustrating.

"Without Him, it is no longer an adventure, it's plain frustrating." It certainly can be; can't it? Whew! And the Word even says that there is no peace for the wicked. (Isaiah 48:22 and 57:21) But ya know, there's not really any peace period, for anyone who isn't "in Christ." There's just no other way to live!!!
"Life sure is an adventure as long as I make God a part of my life. Without Him, it is no longer an adventure, it's plain frustrating." How very true! Those times when I lost my focus on HIM were the most difficult times. Human wisdom, even wealth can not compare to the riches and power that God has in store for us, His children who remains in Him. To HIM alone be the glory! -Gloria
